Climate: The average annual rainfall at Holbrook is 8.32″. The months of highest precipitation Occur in July and August from summer thunderstorms. The winters are cool. Snow may occur from November through April, but accumulations of more than several inches are rare. Normally, snows have melted within a day after the storm moves out. The summers are warm with temperatures reaching 100 degrees for a few days in July.

Vegetation: The main type of vegetation on the ranch is Short Grass which consists mainly of bunch grasses and scattered shrubs.
