Climate: The average annual rainfall at Holbrook is 8.32". The months of highest precipitation Occur in July and August from summer thunderstorms. The winters are cool. Snow may occur from November through April, but accumulations of more than several inches are rare. Normally, snows have melted within a day after the storm moves out. The summers are warm with temperatures reaching 100 degrees for a few days in July.
Farm: The farm produces vegetables: melons, corn, sweet corn and alfalfa.
Vegetation: The main type of vegetation on the ranch is Short Grass which consists mainly of bunch grasses and scattered shrubs. The grasses include blue, black and six weeks grama, galleta, alkali sacation, sand and mesa drop seed, ring muhly and three awn. Shrubs are mormon tea, winter fat, snake weed and rabbit brush.
